For fifty years, VAUDE has dedicated itself to the tireless pursuit of safeguarding a promising future for our children on this planet. Driven by our unwavering values, we aspire to stand as an integral piece of the solution.

To make a measurable contribution to the imperative of curbing global warming to 1.5 °C, our foremost goal is the swift reduction of our own emissions. Our carbon footprint analysis, which encompasses the entire value chain, reveals that our greatest leverage lies within our supply chain, where the majority of emissions stem from the manufacturing of materials and products. Therefore, it‘s imperative that we minimize our use of finite fossil resources.

The key to achieving this lies in recycling and the repeated utilization of discarded textiles and raw materials. Today, we take immense pride in sharing that 74 percent of our entire collection predominantly consists of recycled or bio-based materials. Our recyclable RETHINK! products also contribute to this goal, as they are part of our journey towards a functioning circular economy. Each day, tonnes of discarded textiles amass in landfills because they can’t be recycled. Our RETHINK! products are designed to be transformed back into new raw materials at the end of the product’s life and, consequently, into new textiles because they’re not only durable, repairable and free of harmful substances, but also recyclable by being made of the recycled PET mono-material.
